Competenz has an amazing opportunity for students to meet engineering and manufacturing employers at one of the South Island's largest technology and trade shows.

The SpeedMeet event will take place at Horncastle Arena in Christchurch on Wednesday 22 May as part of SouthMACH 2019.

What is SpeedMeet and how does it work?

It's kind of like speed dating for jobs. You will take part in a series of seven-minute interviews with employers who will ask you questions and find out what you're interested in. These employers might have jobs available now or might expect to be hiring people in the near future. It's your chance to make a good impression.

At the end of each interview you decide whether you're keen to take the discussion further, and they decide whether they want to find out more about you. If it's a match, then we put you in touch.

Once you have registered your details below we will email you all the information you need to attend.

Who is SpeedMeet for?

This SpeedMeet is for students and young jobseekers who are ready and willing to start a career in engineering or manufacturing. You don't need any work experience, just a good attitude and an interest in learning about a trade. Come prepared to talk about yourself and the kind of work you're interested in.

You will get the chance to speak with leading employers about future career opportunities - and you might even get a job out of it!

Spaces are limited so register today.
